The perfect Istria dream vacation
Exploring Istria
Fantastic landscapes, the deep blue sea, culinary delights and the perfect accommodation. We had an absolutely perfect family vacation in the wonderful "Villa Melita" of the HMZ Villas Group.
Istria is located on the northern Adriatic between the Gulf of Trieste and the Kvarner Bay in front of Rijeka. The varied landscape of Istria, its excellent wine and picturesque, historic towns make the Istrian peninsula a popular yet uncrowded destination for culturally interested tourists from all over the world and the short car drive from Austria, is perfect for a holiday with kids.
We enjoyed the various beaches, the turquoise clear water and got enchanted by all the cute little towns. And we recharged our batteries to the fullest as we stayed in such a luxurious and beautiful Villa.
Family vacation in a wonderful villa
The HMZ Group, run by an Austrian company, owns 15 villas in Istria. The villas are located in the Poreč and Vabriga region. We stayed in Villa Petra last year and had a wonderful week at Villa Melita this year and we were absolutely thrilled with both.
The HMZ Group's offer includes villas of various sizes, but they all have one thing in common: they all offer an incomparable feeling of luxury and privacy.
Each villa has a large private pool, its own garden and an outdoor dining area with barbecue facilities. There is also a perfectly equipped kitchen and a spacious living and dining area. Every bedroom also has its own bathroom. The entire furnishing is luxurious and attractive and the attention to detail is evident in the selected decoration.
Exceptional architecture and pure luxury in Villa Melita
With its interesting design and special details, Villa Melita is a little reminiscent of a luxury mega yacht. Circular viewing windows in the walls have a maritime character, and the transparent walls and external glass railings allow an uninterrupted view of the impressive, beautifully designed outdoor area.
There is a swimming pool, a dining table and a stone grill, which allowed us to have wonderful barbecue evenings with our family. An open-plan living area offered plenty of space for our little daughter to play, the kitchen was perfectly equipped and the dining area was cozy and comfortable. On the ground floor there is one of the bedrooms with en-suite bathroom and direct access to the outdoor area.
An elegant, open staircase leads to the first floor, where the other two bedrooms and bathrooms are located. Villa Melita can accommodate up to six people.
The two covered terraces on the first floor on both sides of the villa invite you to enjoy a cup of coffee there before going back up the stairs to the swimming pool. Both terraces are connected to the garden by external stairs and also offer direct access to the two sleeping areas on the first floor.
Activities in multifaceted Istria
In addition to the numerous wonderful beaches in the area, there is a lot to experience. Water sports and other sporting activities, such as cycling, golf, tennis or renting a boat, which we did for a day and which we really enjoyed.
The coastal cities of Porec and Novigrad are also only 10 minutes away, both of which have tranquil old towns and a wide range of culinary offerings.
But exploring the surrounding nature reserves, visiting the impressive nearby Limski Fjord, going on a private truffle hunt or tasting local wine or olive oil are also activities that are possible in the area.
In any case, we had a wonderful holiday in Villa Melita with our whole family and were able to relax in complete privacy. The villas of the HMZ group are highly recommended for exploring Istria. They are simply ideal for families and groups of friends, as they are the perfect place to relax and escape from the hectic pace of everyday life.
